If you are headed to Walt Disney World and you have small humans in tow, knowing the height restrictions of rides in advance is always a helpful. Only a few rides in each of the four Disney theme parks have height requirements. You can expect the fast moving thrill rides like Guardians of the Galaxy and Space Mountain on that list. And yes, Disney cast members will often measure guests who could be too short to ride. Once kiddos hit 44″ they can pretty much ride every ride with the exception of a few coasters.

Fortunately there are lots of attractions at Disney World that don’t have a height requirement. While the Magic Kingdom has the most (Hello Fantasyland) you can find lots of options across all 4 theme parks. Some are slow moving, some may be dark while others are bright and fun. So keep in mind, even though the Haunted Mansion has no height restrictions, it is dark and can be loud.

Knowing these height free rides in advance can save a lot of tears and heartbreak as well as time. No one likes waiting in a long line for an attraction only to discover you aren’t tall enough to ride.

• Astro Orbiter (high, can be dizzying as it moves around in a continuous circle)
• Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin (video game like attraction)
• Dumbo the Flying Elephant
• Haunted Mansion (dark, can be loud)
• “it’s a small world” (slow moving boat ride)
• Jungle Cruise (slow moving boat ride)
• Liberty Square Riverboat (very slow moving boat ride)
• Mad Tea Party (if you suffer from motion sickness, this does go around in circles at times very quickly)

• The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
• Peter Pan’s Flight
• Pirates of the Caribbean (water boat ride, small hill, very dark)
