Quick Service Meal Favorites at Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World takes a lot of energy, so eating in between all those early morning rope drops and walking 10,000 steps or more to make all those lightening lanes is important. Despite what you see on on the foodstagram, there is so much more at than Mickey-shaped pretzels and Turkey legs at Disney World. Disney’s Quick Service Meals are delicious, don’t require reservations 60 days out and often come with a lower price tag. There is even a special Disney Dining Plan just for Quick Service Meals. With 100 Quick Service Options at Disney World, there are plenty of options for both vegetarian and carnivorous appetites. These are just a few of our favorites below.

We stumbled on the The Super Foods Salad at Captain Hooks inside the Polynesian Resort on a recent trip. This quick service spot just past the lobby near the pool at the Polynesian is served with Kale greens, tomatoes, blueberries, Mandarin oranges, walnuts and and Apple Cider Vinaigrette for just $11.79. It can be served with your choice of protein as well but is also delicious as is.

Yes, we go to Epcot to see the different countries and taste cuisine from around the globe. But if you are hankering for some delicious BBQ and you need it stat, the Regal Steakhouse at Epcot’s American Pavilion is simply awesome. You’ll feel like you are at any ole’ American style backyard BBQ, with a variety of meats that are oak wood smoked and a bunch of mouth-watering sides will compete for your attention. We loved the mac n’ cheese and coleslaw. They also have house-made sauces; a blue Ribbon Brisket, Sizzlin’s Pit Dry Rub Coalition, Old Glory Mustard Guild and Blue Ride Vinegar League.

After you’ve gone through Pandora at Animal Kingdom, make a pit stop at the Satu’li Canteen for a light lunch or dinner. The Ocean Moon Bowl pictured above does not disappoint! Chilled blue noodles, tuna, radish, pickled Daikon, rainbow carrots, cucumbers, avocado with a drizzle of Miso and Sweet Soy sauce and a sprinkle of Cilantro. and red cabbage make this dish so refreshing and also filling. This entree-sized meal costs $17.99 which means you can finish off with their blueberry cream cheese mousse.

The Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot every Spring is one of our favorite festivals. Amidst the beautiful landscaping, flower displays and topiaries, are the open kitchens that also spring up. We hope the La Isla Fresca stand returns this year when the festival comes back on February 28th to May 27th.

Our favorite dish during Epcot’s Flower & Garden Festival was from La Isla Fresca. Sugar Cane Shrimp Skewers served with BEN”S long white rice, mango salsa and a coconut lime sauce. Expect larger than your average sample size plate which is not as big as a full restaurant size portion but bigger than an appetizer.

For those with a sweet tooth there is no shortage of delicious quick service desserts at Disney World. As serious purveyors of creme brulee, we stumbled upon this beauty at Boulangerie Patisserie hidden inside Epcot. This quick service spot tucked inside the France Pavilion has lot of delicious sweet and savory options but the creme brulee was our favorite!

  1. […] If you are at either Epcot or Hollywood Studios, a trip on the Skyliner is a great way to take a load off your feet, enjoy some quiet time in your own private gondola and relax in some much needed AC on a hot day. If you start at the park early, a quick ride on the Skyliner is a nice way to do some Disney Disney Resort hopping and grab some lunch at either a restaurant or quick service meal spot. […]
